This talk will feature Dr. Michael Avidan, Dr. Seymour and Rose T. Brown Professor of Anesthesiology and Head of the Department of Anesthesiology at the School of Medicine. Dr. Avidan is an accomplished investigator in perioperative outcomes research, including large clinical trials. His major contributions have been in the fields of 1) prevention of intraoperative awareness; 2) postoperative neurologic outcomes; and 3) tracking health and well-being of surgical patients. Dr. Avidan will be presenting “The Promise of Perioperative Telehealth.”


The I2 Research-in-Progress Lecture Series is designed to offer individuals an opportunity to learn about informatics science and practice occurring throughout the Danforth and Medical Campuses. These informal talks are designed to promote interactions and provide individuals with an opportunity to obtain feedback on their research-in-progress. The schedule of this semester is listed below:
