Join Zoom Meeting: Precision Medicine Thursday @ Venture Café – 3/18/2021

The Institute of Clinical and Translational Sciences (ICTS), in collaboration with Venture Café, is hosting Precision Medicine Series on the third Thursday of every month! This month at Precision Medicine Thursdays at Venture Café, join us to hear two researchers from the Department of Pediatrics at Washington University School of Medicine, Dr. Megan A. Cooper, Associate Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Rheumatology/Immunology, and Dr. Jorge Di Paola, Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Hematology/Oncology.

Dr. Jorge Di Paola and Dr. Megan A. Cooper investigate rare genetic disorders of blood cells, with Dr. Di Paola focusing on diseases affecting platelets and Dr. Cooper studying dysfunction of immune cells. They will discuss their ongoing efforts to identify new diseases that have the potential to lead to targeted therapies for patients and an understanding of pathways important for human health that can be used to design drugs and other diseases.
